Application Security Apprentice (Start ASAP)

Your role

Role Overview:

This is an Apprentice role for college graduates for an 11-month fixed program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in scanning/ performing security assessments on web applications, mobile, API and thick clients  to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Help the team in issue triaging for SAST and DAST.
• Participate in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security tools and technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises to identify security weaknesses and recommend remediation measures.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate security breaches, incidents, and anomalies, and provide timely incident response and resolution.
• Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security trends to proactively mitigate risks and strengthen defenses.
• Support security awareness and training initiatives to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and promote a culture of security awareness.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users regarding cybersecurity-related inquiries and issues.

About you

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Strong passion for cybersecurity and a desire to pursue a career in the field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, concepts, and technologies.
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10. Cyber Security Certifications like OSCP are an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proactive attitude towards learning and self-development, with a willingness to acquire new skills and certifications in cybersecurity.
