Fuels, Chemicals & Resource Solutions Apprentice (Start ASAP)

Your role

​Responsibilities:

• Assist analysts with secondary research assignments by collecting industry data and supporting the analysis of regional market trends using various data analytics techniques.
• Conduct basic research on industry aspects, including economy, government policies, and supply-demand dynamics—aid analysts in collating this information to make informed decisions.
• Support the lead in preparing client reports and presentations, transforming data into clear and compelling insights.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively.
• Assist senior analysts in creating models, performing data structuring, and conducting analysis using technology tools such as Python, and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire, and Tableau.

About you

What S&P Global is looking for:

• Recent Graduate, preferably in engineering, energy, science, mathematics, or economics. A post-graduate degree is a plus. The candidate must not have a prior employment history.
• Strong working knowledge of office 365 application skills including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with modeling and data science tools such as Python and R is desired.
• A strong curiosity to learn about global news events and a tendency to brainstorm.
• Ability to conduct extensive research and write coherent analyses.
• Excellent reading and writing skills in international business English, with good communication skills, and a natural bent for multi-tasking.
• Self-motivated and ambitious, with strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer focus, and a high regard for stakeholder relationships.
